Dear [first_name,fallback=HR Professional],
We wanted to take a moment to update you and the team at [employer_name,fallback=your organization] on this year's Canada's Top 100 Employers project:
Reasons for Selection
Our detailed 2009 Reasons for Selection have just been published online on Eluta.ca. These chapters explain why each of this year's national winners was chosen -- we encourage you to review the winning employers in your industry and region.
Publishing detailed Reasons for Selection is a distinguishing feature of the Canada's Top 100 Employers competition. Besides showing our editors' grades and supporting data, our Reasons for Selection provide transparency and allow other employers to emulate the "best practices" our editors identify.

2009 Conference
This year's conference on the Canada's Top 100 Employers project is confirmed for April 27-28, 2009 at Toronto's Royal York Hotel. The Top Employer Summit provides a unique opportunity to meet all the writers and organizers involved in the Top 100 project. The two-day event is Canada's largest annual gathering of senior-level HR professionals, focusing on the key themes we'll be looking for in year's competition.
This year's theme is "Ancient Wisdom, Modern Solutions" and we'll be taking a deeper look, for the first time, at the important values behind the Top 100 competition's selection criteria. We are fortunate to have Dominique de Villepin, the former Prime Minister of France, join us as one of the keynote speakers on our opening day. More info: Delegate Registration | Hotel Reservations

Canada's Greenest Companies
This spring, our annual environmental competition is expanding with the publication of a special "green" issue by Maclean's in April. In response to growing interest, our editorial team is broadening this competition and shortening its name to "Canada's Greenest Companies".
We've already collected many excellent stories through this year's Canada's Top 100 Employers application process, but if you have a noteworthy environmental initiative at your organization, please email Rachel Caballero and let her know the details. We'll be choosing the most interesting stories over the next two months, with winners announced in the special Maclean's "green" issue just before Earth Day.

Readership Record
This year, a record number of Canadians read about the winners of our national and regional "top employer" competitions. Together with our 22 magazine and newspaper partners, we reached over 5 million Canadians this year with stories about exceptional employers who have touched people's lives for the better.
We're especially proud of the contribution by our popular job search engine, Eluta.ca, which reached a remarkable 3.2 million Canadians this year, including 440,000 unique users last month alone. Eluta.ca is the exclusive online home of the Canada's Top 100 Employers project and hosts our editorial Reasons for Selection explaining why each winning employer was chosen.
